Check in online
Online check-in is free and opens as soon as your booking is paid. You can check in any time until you leave for the airport, but doing it early saves time and lets you fix any mistakes in passenger details.
- Open Manage booking. Go to Manage booking and enter your booking reference and the last name of anyone on the booking.
- Check passenger details. Confirm each traveller's name, date of birth, nationality and passport or ID card number exactly as printed on the document.
- Choose who travels. Tick every traveller you want to check in. You can check in part of a group now and the rest later.
- Download boarding passes. You get one boarding pass per traveller per flight, with a QR code, your seat and the boarding time.
Flights on partner airlines
If a flight on your booking is operated by a partner airline, it is marked on your booking and boarding pass. That airline's own check-in rules, times and seat assignment apply. We send the passenger details you gave us to the airline; if they ask you to check in on their website, contact us and we'll give you the airline's own booking reference.
Your boarding pass
- Show it on your phone or print it. Keep the screen brightness up so the QR code scans easily.
- Each traveller needs their own boarding pass for each flight, including children and infants.
- Check that the name matches the travel document. If it doesn't, contact us before you travel — spelling corrections are free.
- You can download it again from Manage booking at any time; it always shows the latest seat and flight details.
At the airport
Arrive at least 2 hours before departure, and allow more time at busy airports, in holiday season or with a group.
- Checked bags: drop them at the check-in desk for your flight. Desks usually open 2–3 hours before departure and close 40 minutes before.
- No checked bags: with your boarding pass you can go straight to security.
- Need a paper boarding pass? Ask at the check-in desk before it closes.
Security and boarding
- Security. Liquids in hand luggage must be in containers of 100 ml or less, all in one clear, resealable 1-litre bag. Take laptops and large electronics out of your bag if asked.
- Find your gate. Gate numbers appear on the airport screens, usually 45–60 minutes before departure. It is not printed on the boarding pass because it can change.
- Boarding. Boarding usually starts 40 minutes before departure. Have your boarding pass and travel document ready.
- Gate closes. The gate closes 20 minutes before departure. After that, travellers cannot board and the flight is treated as missed.
Travel documents
- Every traveller, including children and infants, needs their own valid passport or national ID card accepted for the trip.
- Check entry rules for your destination before you travel: visas, how long your passport must be valid, and any documents for children travelling with only one parent.
- The document you travel with must be the one you entered at check-in. If you renew your passport, update the number in Manage booking or ask us to.
Special assistance, infants and hand luggage
Reduced mobility or medical needs: tell us at least 48 hours before departure by sending us a message so we can arrange assistance with the airport. Assistance is free.
Infants: one infant under 2 per adult, travelling on the adult's lap. Bring the infant's own travel document.
Hand luggage: what is included depends on your fare package — open "Flight details" on your booking. Power banks and lithium batteries must always travel in hand luggage, never in checked bags.
